Cantabile Spring 2026 Presents ~ Silver Songs!

A retrospective of twenty-five years of Cantabile performances.
We felt the best way to celebrate our 25th anniversary would be to comb through the repertoire of past performances—close to 50 concert series in total—and find pieces that showcased the sound and spirit of the voices of Cantabile through the years. Our goal was to find songs we’d both relish revisiting, and ones that when combined, would create an exciting and diverse listening experience for our audiences. We noticed the recurrence of beloved composers in our search. Works by favorites such as J.S. Bach, Delibes, and Mendelssohn as well as Gwyneth Walker, Philip E. Silvey, and Sarah Quartel are close to our hearts. True to the eclectic nature of our programming, we’ve included sacred texts alongside folk literature and show tunes.
We’ve invited Judy Wild, a favorite guest violinist, to join us. Silver Songs aims to celebrate the past with a performance that will help launch us into the future. |
