Cantabile Winter 2026 Presents ~ Faith Hope Love
|
Cantabile’s 2026 winter concert series Faith, Hope, Love will feature Messe Brève by Léo Delibes in five movements composed for treble voices and string quartet.
Other sacred works will include songs from the Shaker, Jewish, and Early American Shape Note traditions. Violin and cello will be featured on works by contemporary choral composers Daniel J. Hall, Elaine Hagenberg, and Anthony Bernarducci. Texts of faith, hope, and love are drawn from many sources, including poets Langston Hughes, Emily Dickenson, Robin Morgan, and George Matheson. Our program will conclude with a stirring arrangement of Jacques Brel’s If We Only Have Love. |
